Mary B. Andersen, CEBS, ERPA, QPA
Mary Andersen is President and founder of ERISAdiagnostics, Inc. an employee benefits consulting firm that helps clients navigate ERISA compliance obligations.
Mary’s career spans decades of experience as an employee benefits professional in the corporate world and as a consultant. In her role as consultant, Mary has worked with many Fortune 500 organizations as well as small companies. She is the go-to person for Forms 5500 preparation and other ERISA requirements.
Before starting her own consulting business, Mary was a Principal at the Vanguard Group where she built a department dedicated to providing ERISA consulting services. Mary also spent 12 years at Coopers & Lybrand, now known as PriceWaterhouseCoopers, where she was jointly responsible for developing and building a national compliance review practice.
Mary has been a frequent speaker at employee benefit professional gatherings and she has written numerous articles on compliance related issues. John P. Griffin, J.D. and LL.M. (Taxation), has over 25 years experience in the employee benefits field. Currently, John is a principal with the ASC Institute (ASCi). Prior to joining ASCi, John was a principal with the pension consulting firm Global Benefit Advisors, LLC (GBA), a Vice President with Pension Publications of Denver, Inc. (PPD) and a senior consultant with the benefit consulting practice of Coopers & Lybrand.
Prior to entering private consulting, John worked in the Employee Plans Division in the National Office of the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) as a Tax Law Specialist. John also has seven years of experience with the U.S. Department of Labor.
Ms. Borzelli, Esq. is an independent consultant. She was a partner with the law firm of Steiker, Greenapple & Fusco P.C. (SG & F). She provides advice and counsel to employers throughout the country. Ms. Borzelli’s practice focuses on the complex tax, labor and employment law issues that arise in the design, implementation, operation and administration of health and welfare plans, qualified and non-qualified retirement plans, and executive compensation arrangements especially focusing on transfer of ownership in privately held corporations to employees through a transaction involving an employee stock ownership plan. She advises clients on benefit issues arising from mergers, acquisitions, shutdowns, and bankruptcies; and on defending ERISA and tax issue brought against employers through of Labor and IRS audits, inquiries and disputes.
In Addition, Ms. Borzelli advises clients on the development of corporate compliance practices and fiduciary duties with respect to compensation programs and advising and representing plan sponsors in correcting plan operational and document qualification errors.
She received her B.S. (with highest honors), MBA and JD degrees from Rutgers University.

Paul is a Principal of ATR, Inc., a defined contribution plan consulting and recordkeeping firm. He has client service responsibilities for all aspects of defined contribution administration, including clients with traditional fund selections, fully self-directed investments, daily pricing, ESOPs and varying combinations of these arrangements.
In addition to serving plan administration clients, Paul consults with large companies regarding plan administration services vendor selection, and operational and administrative efficiency. He also works with some of the leading developers of defined contribution recordkeeping software to design daily valuation systems and regulatory compliance systems.
Paul holds an M.S. from the University of Virginia, in Mathematics, 1975, and a B.S. Tulane University, in Mathematics, 1973. He served as President of the MidAtlantic Chapter of the Association of Human Resources Systems Professionals from 1992 to 1994, has been on the Board of Directors, MidAtlantic Chapter since 1988.

Sarah Ivy, Esq. is a shareholder in Saxton & Stump where she focuses her practice in the areas of employee benefits law, executive compensation and taxation. She has more than 20 years of experience analyzing regulations under the Internal Revenue Code (IRC) and Employee Retirement Income Security Act (ERISA) and applying those rules to a range of benefits plans such as qualified retirement (401(k), 403(b), profit-sharing and pension plans), welfare benefits plans, non-qualified deferred compensation plans and equity-based compensation plans.
Sarah advises clients across all industries including both for-profit and non-profit organizations with respect to compliance with complex employee benefits regulations and employee stock ownership plan (ESOPs). She works closely with clients to design benefits plans that maintain compliance with federal law and assists employers involved with Department of Labor (DOL) or Internal Revenue Service (IRS) audits or reviews.
She counsels companies on the design and documentation of executive compensation arrangements including severance agreements as a business transition planning tool. Sarah also advises clients on employee benefits issues that arise in merger and acquisition (M&A) transactions. She also conducts reviews of various employment-related documents such as employee handbooks, employment agreements and non-compete agreements.
