The Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (PPACA) raises the stakes for employer-provided health plans, with nondiscrimination requirements for fully insured plans that must be met once guidance is issued and potentially severe penalties for noncompliance. But while the stakes are higher, the opportunities are great for health plan administrators, employers and advisors who have the knowledge and tools to act on them.
Utilizing Nondiscrimination Testing (NDX), we will:
- Utilize unique and up-to-date Microsoft® Excel® templates to enable you to gather the necessary employer required for testing in a consistent and usable format
- Identify highly compensated and other high-level employees in accordance with current regulations using inherent logic in the tool
- Run the tests and generate detailed reports with test results
Currently, there is no correction program (as there is with qualified plans) should a test fail. It is very important that plan sponsors run the nondiscrimination testing before the end of the plan year allowing enough time to make any necessary corrections.
